Wine-A-Rita Wine Glace’
It’s been a real cold winter for everyone this year. I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait until the trees start budding and the flowers start blooming again. The days of hot chocolate and evenings enjoying a hot toddy or Irish coffee by a roaring fire will give way to a cool beverage by the pool.
Wine Glace’ was the first frozen beverage put out by Wine-A-Rita. A versatile mix, you can make Wine Glace’ several different ways:
• Frozen or on the rocks with Red or White Wine
• Frozen or on the rocks with juice or Ginger Ale
A pool party can be fun for everyone!! Why not serve Wine Glace’ and surprise you guests with this delightful beverage!! Mixing Wine-A-Rita Wine Glace’ is so easy just follow the directions below for a refreshing treat:
Wine-A-Rita Wine Glace’ frozen beverage
• Combine ½ bag (3/4 cup) Wine Glace’ mix and 12 oz of Red or White Wine

Wine Glace’ can also be served as a non-alcoholic beverage by using juice (preferably grape) or Ginger Ale for a tasty frozen treat.

Because the word Glace’ intrigued me, I checked several sources to find out just what the word meant. The following are some definitions I found for the word Glace’:
• Smooth, glazed or glossy surface
• Coated with sugar glaze
• Crystallized
• Allowed to absorb sugar
• French meaning – to glaze or freeze
• Frozen or iced
In my opinion, all of the above suit Wine Glace’ very well. Wine-A-Rita scores a home run with Wine Glace’. However you choose to make it, Wine Glace’ is sure to be a hit at your next gathering.

Origin of the Margarita
Just where did Margaritas come from and who created the zesty beverage first? That may be a question for the ages, but here are some stories that I was able to find on the subject. I do not know if these stories are fact or fiction, so please don’t quote them as true, but they are interesting.
• In the 1930’s a bartender at a club in Tijuana created a drink called a Margarita which he named after a young dancer by the name of Margarita Casino. Margarita later became the great film star we know as Rita Hayworth.
• 1936 – Daniel and David Negrete opened a bar at the Garci Crispo hotel. Daniel created a drink consisting of 1/3 tequila, 1/3 Triple Sec and 1/3 lime juice. Before David’s wedding, Daniel presented the margarita as a wedding present to Margarita, his sister-in-law to be.
• 1948 – Santos Cruz was the head bartender at the historical Balinese Room located in Galveston Texas. Cruz is said to have created the Margarita for singer Peggy Lee. The Balinese Room was the finest nightclub in Texas at the time complete with gambling, excellent food and top entertainment.
• 1948 – Dallas Socialite Margaret Sames claims to have made the first Margarita while on vacation in Acapulco. In December of 1953 the drink named “Margarita” appeared in Esquire magazine giving credit to Ms. Sames as the creator of the drink.
I don’t know who actually made the first Margarita, but I’m sure glad they did!!

Berry Pom-A-Rita is finally here!
The newest beverage mix from Wine-A-Rita is a tantalizing blend of blueberries and pomegranate (both are very high in antioxidants and have great health benefits). There are no additives, preservatives, artificial flavors or colors. This wonderful tasting mix can be blended with either red or white wine for a zesty out of the ordinary cocktail, or mix with cranberry juice cocktail for a non-alcoholic frozen treat.

There are millions of bath and body products out there. Which do you prefer a cream or lotion? Personally it depends on the season. Summertime is perfect for a lotion. A lotion tends to be light and will smooth on easily. Creams are my favorite during the cooler months. Unlike a lotion, creams are a lot thicker and really help to keep skin moisturized. My personal favorites are:
Juniper Breeze Body Lotion

Japanese Cherry Blossom Body Cream
